A 29’er with just under five inches of rear wheel travel, the Ibis Ripley is essentially a lighter, snappier Ripmo – Ripmo Light. The perfect tool for most mountain bikers has received a number of important updates for 2023. A Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) future proofs the bike by making it compatible with the latest generation of derailleurs. A wider chainline increases chainstay stiffness. A new rubber protector keeps chainslap to the bare minimum and better protects your frame. A new clevis features improved sealing to better keep out dirt and debris and improve bushing life. And a new downtube protector made from thick rubber better absorbs impacts to the bottom of your frame.
Compatible with a 120mm to 140mm fork, the Ripley can be a lightweight cross-country weapon or a trail-thrashing downcountry machine, depending on the component spec you choose. The Ripley’s light weight and progressive design all add up to a bike that is exceptionally snappy to ride. Call your new Ripley a “trail scalpel,” because that’s what it is.
Note, Small and Medium frames come with a Light-tune rear shock. Large and XL frames come with a Standard-tune.
